LUZ DEL MAR'S COMMUNITY
Established 1998
One of the only communities in Costa Rica with titled beachfront, Los Delfines consists of over 300 residences and some of the country’s most recognized wildlife. Established by the Barcelo family in 1998, this 134-acre community provides private beach access points to the 6km beach of the calm waters of Whale Bay, Pacific Ocean.

Golf and Nature
Our spectacular course is situated in the midst of the tropical nature and ranks it one of the top golf courses in Costa Rica. Some of the most amazing scenery can be seen here with abundant wildlife and a large community of Scarlet Macaws nesting throughout the course.

Beaches
The beaches of the Southern Nicoya Peninsula are among the best in all of Costa Rica.
With sand that ranges in color from pink, white, grey and beige, people travel here specifically for these beaches and, in many cases, the beach towns that line the shorelines. Isla Tortuga, Playa Carmen, Muertos and Tango Mar are just a few that can be reached by car or boat.

Our Community is on Titled Beach Front
All beaches in Costa Rica are public but past the 50 meter high-tide mark are 2 very different types of land rights. The most common, representing 99%, is Concession Land. Concession means ‘rental’ and is what every beach hotel / resorts are under in Costa Rica. The second type is Titled Land and can be purchased but only represents 1.0%. Our community is on titled beach front!
